Philanthropy is integral part of who Blackbaud is as a company. Blackbaud is committed to serving the entire Ecosystem of Good. Even with the difficulties presented throughout the pandemic, 70% of all Blackbaud employees volunteered in 2021. Learn more about our commitments to serving our communities.

Each year Blackbaud hosts a week or caring that leads up to GivingTuesday. The CSR team helps employees around the global find volunteer opportunities to participate in. A handful of our employees share their mission for supporting a cause they care about + what volunteering together during week of caring means to them.

Hannah R., a team lead for YourCause Marketing in the UK, volunteers with TutorMate once a week.

“For the 2022-23 school year I was lucky enough to be paired with a pupil in his first year of school through TutorMate here in the UK! Though we’ve only had a couple of months of sessions, it has been amazing to see his reading skills develop every week and I always look forward to reading his favorite book, Tick Tock!, together. It’s nice to have a consistent 30-minutes of volunteering each week, and is always a highlight of the week for me, though sometimes a bit hard to get back into “adult” mode afterwards .”

Kayla B., Product Marketing Manager at YourCause

“Being able to participate in one of our volunteering traditions this year was extra special. Being able to engage with my colleagues doing in-person volunteering after a hiatus throughout the pandemic really made me feel more connected to my community and to my peers.”

Nataki W., Processing Team Lead, Treasury-CSR Operations

“It is so inspiring to work for a company that not only coordinates volunteer efforts but also allows employees to step away from their desks and spend time giving back to the community. I enjoyed myself so much with the team during the sack lunch stuffing event that I had to remind myself it wasn’t a party!”

Jewell W., Manager Customer Success at YourCause

“Our CSM team assists customers every day with executing their own #volunteerism so, it’s a joy to live and feel the goodness too. What did we do? Together we packed and delivered 500 meals to Austin Street Center in downtown Dallas! Packing meals for this shelter happens to be a tradition at YourCause from Blackbaud this year marked our 6th event, and it was very meaningful to bring it back to in-person volunteering. I can’t wait to see the impact from all our colleagues around the globe!”

Caitlin R., Manager Customer Success at YourCause

“Working for a company that promotes volunteerism and giving back in its employees has always been important to me. The annual sack lunch stuffing event is one of my favorites as it brings together employees from all different teams, giving us the opportunity to build bonds with each other and serve our local community in an impactful way”

Sydney T., Account Executive at YourCause

“It is no secret that giving back is a core passion to so many YourCause employees. This is something that drew me to join the team back in January and feeling that shared purpose through our Week of Caring volunteer event connected me even more to our work at YourCause. We talk all day every day about social impact, but to actually live out this mission as a team was such a great experience, one that has made me eager for the next already. This was the first time I got to meet many colleagues in person, and I could not think of a better way to make a first (non-Teams) connection! Helping organize this event was an honor, given the ease of employee sign-up and communication through our CSRconnect platform and our long-standing culture that cares sincerely about giving back. Can’t wait for the next one!”
