Orange Leap Scores High Grades with Uplift Education

When it comes to performance and mission fulfillment, Uplift Education  has impressive results to share:  100 percent of their graduates are accepted to a four-year college.

Continuing to fulfill that mission relies, in part, on effective fundraising.  When Uplift Education Chief Development Director Deborah Bigham found that her donor management system was an obstacle to timely reporting, she replaced the system with Orange Leap.

“We were having issues with reporting using the old system,” said Bigham.  “It was laborious and difficult to use, creating custom reports was difficult and it would take up to two days to deliver the reporting.”

At the end of the evaluation and selection process, Bigham reports that Orange Leap was the clear choice for Uplift Education.  “I had a list of requirements for the new solution and with Orange Leap, I was able to tick off all of my boxes.”

“Orange Leap is cloud-based which means our team has anywhere/anytime access to the system and are not tied to being in the office,” Bigham said.  “Orange Leap’s open source architecture means we’ll have better integration with the other software systems we use, such as accounting; and it provides us with the flexibility we need to easily execute our development duties, segment lists for more targeted communication, and report on campaigns quickly.”

Once Orange Leap had been selected, Bigham worked through a detailed discovery process with the consultants at Orange Leap that mapped out implementation process and timeline.  Because Orange Leap is a cloud-based, SaaS application, Uplift Education was able to enjoy a rapidly deployment the software and thorough initial training, with ongoing training as needed.

Uplift Education operates 28 schools on 13 campuses in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex serving 10,000 students.  “I would recommend Orange Leap,” reports Bigham.  “Orange Leap makes it very easy to track donors, non-donors, identify constituents by school, segment communication and manage touch points.  We enjoy ease of transaction, more efficiencies and more accurate data.”
