History of the CSRworks Conference

Ann Magee March 17, 2016 About YourCause

The YourCause Annual CSRworks conference is taking place April 5th and 6th in our hometown, Dallas, Texas. Each year I look forward to this event as it allows me to reflect on when CSRworks began in 2011. I enjoy thinking about how it has changed and grown over time, just like our company, solutions, and client partners.

YourCause 2011

Our vision that first year was tobring our clients together to get to know one another while we shared ideas, challenges, and (of course) best practices to build a strong CSR community. Our clients have always been the leaders in corporate social responsibility by continually expanding and improving their programs. They are persistent in asking themselves, and us, “what’s next?”

With this in mind, we knew we were in for a powerful day when we kicked off the first annual CSRworks. Nobody was disappointed. We heard from many of the thirty attendees that the conference was their favorite conference they’d attended. Period.

Over time, and at the request or our clients, CSRworks expanded into a two-day conference with over 100 participants. The first day is focused on CSR industry trends, and the second day provides “hands-on” client training and solution showcases. Our clients’ input has helped to drive our product and services development, so it’s no surprise that they also contribute during CSRworks.

We’re fortunate to have our clients, many of whom we call friends, participate in the event. The client panels, roundtable discussions, and general idea sharing continues to push us all forward during the conference, and all throughout the year.

We have great plans for our conference this spring, and we hope you are able to join us April 5 – 6 at CSRworks 2016. Don’t forget to register if you plan to attend.

Client attendance is complimentary at CSRworks just like every year before. It is one small way that we can thank our clients for their business, for being to be a part of our community, and for traveling to Dallas to participate in our annual conference.

I’ll see you once again in April at CSRworks!
